Jim Corbett National Park – A Wildlife Legacy

Guided by the experiences of the legendary naturalist, Jim Corbett, many explorers and wildlife seekers from around the world are drawn to the Jim Corbett National Park, put on the map by his celebrated book ‘The Maneaters of Kumaon’.
A wildlife haven, Corbett is home to some 50 different species of mammals with the most famous residents being the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger and the Asiatic Elephant. The most easily spotted species are the chital, sambar, hog deer, leopard, jackal, langur, sloth bear, wild boar, nilgai, wild pig, fresh water dolphin, turtles, marsh mugger and gharial crocodiles. Less commonly seen are bharal, goral, serow, barking deer, Himalayan tahr and black bear. Not to forget Corbett’s 600 species of birds, including great pied hornbill and the rare ibisbill that make for an awe-inspiring sight.
Satpura National Park – a tryst with the wild
Discover the land of Mowgli, Bagheera, Baloo, Shere Khan and other characters from Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book. The story supposedly set in the jungles of Madhya Pradesh is still unfolding every passing day in the Satpura National Park without the “man-cub” Mowgli, of course.
The Satpura Nationa Park is very rich in biodiversity with wildlife. The fauna includes leopard, sambar, chital, Indian muntjac, nilgai, four-horned antelope, chinkara, wild boar, bear, black buck, fox, porcupine, flying squirrel, mouse deer, Indian giant squirrel, etc. There have been sightings of tigers, dholes, Indian gaur and barasingha, although these are rare.
Wild Assam
Assam is a multi-faceted state. Dominating the remote North-East of India with its sheer size and population, this region is home to a large variety of flora and fauna. Every year thousands of wildlife enthusiasts, conservationists and naturalist converge here to re-discover their tryst with nature. It has a wealth of rarest and highly endangered species of wildlife including Pygmy Hog, Golden Langur, Clouded Leopard, Hoolock Gibbon, White-Winged Woodduck, Tiger, Hispid Hare, Swamp Deer etc. and of course the Tiger and the unmistakable one-horned Indian Rhino.
The state is home to many national parks – Manas, Nameri and Kaziranga to name a few and that’s where our wildlife experience is going to be focused on. However, beyond the wild is the beautiful island of Majuli on Brahmaputra, Sibasagar – ancient capital of Ahom the erstwhile rulers of Assam, ancient Kamakhya temple and more.

The Savannah grasslands, this is where the first humans originated from. Known as the Serengeti ecosystem in Tanzania it is a huge national park extending into Kenya that is known as Masai Mara. Serengeti is derived from the Masai language and it means “endless plains”. And truly endless it is to get lost not just physically but in its beauty. It hosts the largest terrestrial mammal migration in the world. Approximately, 70 large mammal and 500 bird species are found here. Ranthambore National Park: Experience the Wild

Ranthambore National Park is located in Sawai Madhopur, about 130 kms from Jaipur. It is one of the biggest and most renowned national park in northern India where you can see the majestic tigers in their natural habitat, they can be easily spotted even during the daytime over here.
